Clogged vents are a fire hazard. According to the National Fire Protection Association, the failure to properly clean and maintain home clothing dryers is the leading cause of dryer fires. Lint is a highly flammable substance, and the air flowing into the vent pipe is hot enough to make lint catch on fire. If you have a gas dryer, you also face the risk of carbon monoxide being pushed back into your home by the lint blockage.
A common sign of an obstructed vent is once a normal load of clothes begins taking more than one cycle to dry. Also, if there is a burning rubber smell coming from the dryer and the laundry room feels humid compared to the rest of your house, it may be be a critical warning sign that your dryer vent needs cleaning.

1. Our dryer vent cleaning service starts with an inspection of your dryer unit and its air exhaust vent.
2. If the lint trap needs cleaning, we will remove and clean the filter in addition to vacuuming the lint trap housing.
3. Next, we disconnect the dryer and carefully move the unit away from the wall to clean the back of the dryer, vacuuming the back with an agitation device until it is clear.
4. Similarly, we detach the dryer vent to clean out the duct and the outside exhaust vent with the proper agitation devices, vacuuming out all trapped lint.
5. Once everything is clear, our technicians will carefully reattach the ductwork and reconnect the dryer—now cleaner, more efficient, and safer than ever.
The National Air Duct Cleaners Association recommends having air ducts cleaned every 3-5 years, depending on various factors such as pets, allergies, and smoking.
